Volunteer

As a volunteer, you can contribute in so many ways to the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Do you enjoy being outdoors? Are you a people person? Whatever your interest or talent, we have a job for you!

The Garden offers volunteers a variety of opportunities to share your talents, skills, and interests with people of all ages. Whether you interest is assisting our horticulture staff, greeting visitors and working in the gift shop, or assisting with facility rentals or special events, there is a place for you at the Garden.

Over 1,400 volunteers contribute their time and talents to the garden each year. This level of volunteerism is vital to the continuing growth of the Garden. Consider being a part of "what’s growing on" by joining the volunteer program at the Garden.

Learn and Share - Become a Docent!

Take your volunteerism to the next level and consider becoming a Garden Docent. Docents serve as Garden representatives, hosts, education assistants and tour guides. Docents are trained in Garden presentation and guest management. The next Docent training will begin in March 2008. For more information on the Docent program, or for an application, contact the Volunteer Coordinator (contact info below).

If you are interested in volunteering at the Garden, please contact
