Summer Festival Begins at Huntsville Botanical Garden

April 23, 2007. HUNTSVILLE, AL.The popular Wings, Warts and Wonder, summer
festival begins this week at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Thousands of
butterflies grace the nature center along with a multitude of other critters -
fish, frogs, turtles, quail, snakes and a few surprises.
The summer festival features events from May through August. Included are:
- Wings, Warts and Wonderful - a children’s celebration of the butterfly
house grand re-opening - April 28 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Herb Festival - in the Herb Garden, May 12-13.
- Concert at the Columns, featuring the Midnighters, May 18 6-8 p.m.
- Fern Festival and Sale - in the Fern Glade, May 19-20.
- Sketchbook Artist’s Art Fair - Cedar Glade, May 20 from 1-4 p.m.
- Master Gardener Weekend - June 2-3.
- Independent Musical Productions presentation "Come to my Garden" June 7.
from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the amphitheater.
- Joe Washington presentation "Outdoor Rooms" with brunch, June 10.
- Huntsville Garden Tour - June 16-17, downtown Huntsville and the Garden.
- Daylily Festival - at the Garden, June 17.
- Additional concerts, June 15 and July 20.
- Monthly socials.
- Children’s programs each Wednesday.
