Children's Programs

There are a variety of programs for children at the Garden, including individual and family classes, camps for children, and birthday parties.

CLASSES

One-Day Classes

The Dish on Fish, 6-9 year-olds, June 23, 9-11 a.m. OR 2-4 p.m.
In this popular class, kids make an aquaponics station to take home, so be prepared for a new family member.
Fee: Members $25, Non-Members $30.
"Ribbit" Up, 4-5 year-olds, June 24, 9-11 a.m.
Class is full; registration is closed.
Your kids will be hopping for joy when they complete this fun class on frogs and tadpoles.
Fee: Members $15, Non-members $20.
Dinosaur Discovery, 4-5 year-olds, June 27, 9-11 a.m.
Class is full; registration is closed.
We値l introduce your junior dinosaur enthusiasts to these creatures from the past.
Fee: Members $15, Non-members $20.
Every Minute Outside, 6-9 year-olds, June 26, 9-11 a.m.
In one minute, the Earth gets hit 6,000 times with lightning. Find out what else happens every minute outside in this fun, outdoor class.
Fee: Members $15, Non-members $20.
Damsels in Distress, 5-7 year-olds, July 22, 9-11 a.m.
Discover the world of the Dragonfly and Damselfly in this interactive program.
Fee: Members $15, Non-members $20.

Three-Day Classes

Fairies 101, Grades 2-6, June 10-12, 9-11:30 a.m. OR 2-4:30 p.m.
Discover the world of fairies in this enchanting program about the miniature, magical world in the garden.
Fee: Members $75, Non-members $90.
Fantastic Fairies, Grades K-2, July 15-17, 9-11 a.m. OR 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Morning class is full.
We値l spread fairy dust and make whimsical wings in this program about the magical folk in the garden.
Fee: Members $75, Non-members, $90.
Get Ready for School, Grades 1-5, July 29-31, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Your kids won稚 dread going back to school after they finish making all the fun projects in this program!
Fee: Members $100, Non-members $125.

CAMPS

Half-Day Camps

Be "Sense"able, 4-5 year-olds, June 9-13, 9-11 a.m. OR 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Morning camp is full.
Each day we値l tackle a different way to investigate the world around us. We promise a "sense"ational time! Snack served each day.
Fee: Members $100, Non-members $125.
Dynamite Dinosaurs, Grades 1-3, June 16-20, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. OR 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Morning camp is full.
Your kids will have a blast digging into the past in this fun-filled, hands on program about those giants (or maybe not) from the past. Snack served each day.
Fee: Members $100, Non-members $130.
Make and Take, Grades 4-7, June 16-20, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
This is the perfect camp for those who like to build things and work with their hands. We値l be making items for your children to take home and place in their garden.
Fee: Members $125, Non-members $150.

Full-Day Camps

So, You Want to be a Paleontologist, Grades 3-6, June 2-6, 9 a.m.-4:30 a.m.
Camp is full; registration is closed.
Does your child have a passion for the pre-historic? Then this is the camp for him or her. We値l spend the week trying to answer some tough dinosaur questions.
Fee: Members $165, Non-members $180.
Worldly Wise, Grades 3-6, June 23-27, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Grades 1-3, July 21-25, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Investigate the plants, inventions and scientists from around the world. This action packed, hands-on class will take you on a trip you won稚 soon forget.
Fee: Members $160, Non-members $175.
What Are the Chances? Grades 4-7, July 7-1, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
This class is heavy on the hands-on. We値l be using math concepts to make simple computers, games, tools and more.
Fee: Members $175, Non-members $200.
Wildlife Junior Master Gardener, Grades 2-5, July 14-18, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Camp is full; registration is closed.
Become a certified wildlife gardener in this program designed by the National Wildlife Federation and Junior Master Gardener programs.
Fee: Members $150, Non-members $175.
