Dog Days of Winter is back at the Huntsville Botanical Garden
January 19 – February 28

Dog Days of Winter: Presented by Happy Tails Ranch and Flint River Animal Hospital
Saturday January 19, 2013 - Thursday February 28, 2013:

Grab a leash and your favorite wet-nosed, tail wagging friend and join us at the Garden for Dog Days of Winter: that special six week time during winter where the Garden opens its gates for man's best friend! Walk the Garden trails in the crisp winter air or play a round of fetch in the five acre "no leash" zone at the back of the Garden. Either way, wear your walking shoes and keep that New Year's Resolution to get a little more fresh air and exercise with your four-legged family member! Each Saturday during dog days we feature a different pet vendor that will display their products and have special treats for your pups. Admission for dogs is $1 per day per dog or $10 for a Paw Pass which gives Rover unlimited entrance throughout Dog Days 2013! Free for human members and non-members pay regular Garden admission.

On February 16th try your hand at being the day’s Top Dog in the Race for Top Dog 5k beginning at 8 a.m. If you want a little slower pace, you and your pet can join us for the 1 mile BowWow Fun Run immediately following the 5k at 9 a.m. To register just visit imATHLETE.com/events/racefortopdog or visit www.hsvbg.org.

The weather outside may be wintery, but that’s no reason to stay trapped inside with your four-footed friends. Instead, join us at the Garden and help celebrate The Dog Days of Winter.

Winter Garden hours are Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy a special $2 off winter discount during January and February. Rates are free for members and for non-members the rates are $10 for adults, $6 for children.  For more information on Huntsville Botanical Garden, visit www.hsvbg.org.
