HUNTSVILLE BOTANICAL GARDEN GUILD PRESENTS 32nd ANNUAL SPRING PLANT SALE

Huntsville Botanical Garden Guild presents the 32nd Annual Spring Plant Sale. April 19th - 21st, behind Grisham Pavilion at the Garden. If you’re eager to get your yard and garden ready for spring and summer, you won’t want to miss the largest plant sale in North Alabama - with both a wide variety of botanicals and advice from the experts!

A long-established Huntsville tradition, the Spring Plant Sale offers annuals by the flat or pack, ferns, geraniums, a huge selection of herbs, cherished heirloom or ‘pass-along' plants, houseplants, orchids, perennials, heirloom roses, hundreds of varieties of vegetable plants, water plants, vines, wildflowers, shrubs, native azaleas and trees. All varieties have been specially selected to thrive in North Alabama.

Container gardening is a hot gardening topic because it’s manageable and easy. Again this year, a demonstration tent - with the Garden’s own expert Stacey Scannell - will feature containers for sun, shade, foliage and herbs. Stacey will assist you with plant selection and provide you with the ideal recipe, detailing exactly which and how many of each plant you need to build your own colorful container.

Master Gardeners of North Alabama will conduct free pH tests for plant sale shoppers in the Master Gardener Tent during the Garden’s Spring Plant Sale. Interested shoppers should bring a cup of "dry" soil from each lawn or garden area to be tested and drop off the soil at the Master Gardener tent for testing before they shop. Test results can be picked up at the Master Gardeners tent as shoppers leave the sale.
In addition, no gardening question will go unanswered, and all advice is free of charge. Tomato plants have long been a specialty of the Master Gardeners.

A vendor area will include original ‘yard art.’ tools, pots, garden sheds and gardening books - everything you need for a great garden!

There is no admission or parking charge and purchases are loaded, with care, for free. Admission is charged for visitors touring the Garden. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and personal checks. Public shopping hours are Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.;  Sunday, April 21, 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.  Proceeds from the Spring Plant Sale, which is sponsored by The Garden Guild, benefit the Garden.
