Author Series: Butterflies of Alabama
Tuesday February 23, 2016 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Nichols Arbor

Huntsville Native Plant Society, Huntsville Forever Green Mountain Garden Club and the HBG Education Department invite Garden members to join us for an evening with nature photographer Sarah Bright and researcher Paulette Haywood Ogard, authors of Butterflies of Alabama; Glimpses into Their Lives.

All 84 known species of butterflies native to Alabama are featured in this lovely book written by two native Alabamians. After more than a decade of research, Sarah and Paulette identified native butterflies, their life cycles and the native plants used both as hosts and nectar sources.  One of the funding partners for the book was Wild South, an organization dedicated to protecting the natural legacy of the South.

Garden Member Benefit

The event includes:

  • Book Signing and Presentation by Sarah and Paulette
