Landscape for Life: The Role of Plants in a Sustainable Garden
Thursday September 19, 2013 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Anderson Education Center Classroom

The Landscape For Life program for residential design is based on the principles of the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES), the nation's first rating system for sustainable landscapes. The Landscape for Life curriculum was developed by the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the United States Botanic Garden as a tool for home gardeners to have the best information available for creating a sustainable garden in the home landscape. For more information about this program, see http://landscapeforlife.org/.

The five classes offered in the series pertain to soils, water, plants and materials and how to make all of these pieces fit together in a landscape that is both beautiful and functional.
