SAND-tastic Work of Wonder
Saturday March 22, 2014 - Sunday March 30, 2014:

We’re bringing the beach to the Garden and piling on the fun!
(check out the photos)

Professional sand artisans from the Sand Sculpture Company will create over-sized sand art in the Garden, with a nod to our 2014 exhibit, Alice’s Garden of Wonders. Watch them sculpt a massive one-of-a-kind work of sand art, delighting visitors with the incredible process. Carving begins on or about March 22 and will finish on or about March 29 (check back for updates), providing something new for visitors to see each day. This unique approach to art is art in action, creating something extraordinary from the ordinary. The process, and the result, will inspire people of all ages.

The Sand Sculpture Company has created hundreds of works of wonder across the globe, and this spring, you can explore and enjoy the wonder at the Garden. In addition to marveling at the super sand structure, guests may enjoy daily activities such as building sand castles, creating beachy fairy gardens, digging for dinosaur bones and so much more.

See a daily schedule of activities in the adjacent column. For more information, check back here later or email Soozi Pline at
