Scarecrow Trail
Thursday September 1, 2016 - Monday October 31, 2016
Throughout the Garden

What a great team building, family bonding or youth group exercise! Build a scarecrow or haybale art project for the Garden. This year it’s all about different community professions: policeman, fireman, doctor, lawyer, teacher, scientist - whatever profession you want to create. Make a crow/haybale art that represents what your company does, what you do, or what you aspire to do.

Prizes will be awarded for:
1st place Scarecrow - $250 • 2nd place Scarecrow - $100
3rd place Scarecrow - $50 • 1st Place Haybale Art - $100

Voting begins Labor Day weekend and continues through the end of September. If you are interested in having your own crow in the garden contact Tamara Huron, thuron@hsvbg.org.

Scarecrow Trail 2015: “Pure Imagination”

Scarecrows  ...  Haybales  ...  Sorghum Maze  ...  Weekend Hayrides

Visit the Scarecrow Trail and revel in the “Pure Imagination” used to create a unique array of Scarecrows throughout the Garden. We’ve added Haunted Hang-Outs to the fun this year.

Bring your cameras so you can capture these "creatures" in the beauty of the autumn garden. Cast your vote for your favorite scarecrow during the month of September. Pick up voting forms at the Visitor Desk.

Don’t miss the Sorghum Maze and grab a seat on the hayrides available every Saturday from 10 am-4 pm and Sunday from 1 - 4 pm.
