Beetle Brunch, Lady Bug & Butterfly Release - cancelled
Saturday July 26, 2014:
Anderson Education Center and Purdy Butterfly House

This event has been cancelled.

We need your help to keep the Butterfly House pest free! Aphids love eating the plants that our caterpillars need to grow into healthy butterflies. The best line of defense is a good offense, and an army of lady beetles would be happy to oblige. Bring Dad and the family out for a brunch that we provide while enjoying a beautiful view of our butterflies. Then take your turn releasing several ladybugs into the nation’s largest seasonal butterfly house.

Join the education department staff and horticulturalist Amanda Maples, our butterfly expert, as we discuss pest control, beneficial insects, and the life cycle of the Lady Beetle in the Purdy Butterfly House on Saturday, July 26.

There is convenient parking in the Parking Garden lot and shuttles to the AEC - or follow the Lady Beetles on the sidewalk as you leisurely stroll past Little Smith Lake and the Purdy Butterfly House.
