There is always “Something Growing On” at the Garden, but here are a few of the “don’t miss” things to see:

Jan/Feb:  During Beaks & Barks (mid-January through February) bring your pooch in to see the “bones” of the Garden and beautiful, ornamental  grasses.

March:  As wildflowers are beginning to emerge, take a look at our trillium collection. We have trilliums from almost every state.

April:  Huntsville Blooms takes place this month, along with the annual spring plant sale (please call for dates). Our Bush Azalea Trail is breathtaking with over 3000 native azaleas and hydrangeas.

May:  The Garden boasts the largest seasonal butterfly house of its kind on site and will be filled with native butterflies beginning this month. Enjoy the tranquility of our Damson Aquatic Garden and Fern Glade.

June:  Our Van Valkenburgh Daylily Garden boasts over 800 cultivars of hemerocallis. Father’s Day weekend is our Daylily Festival and our Daylily sale is the 3rd weekend of September. Our Dogwood Trail is a great place to cool off.

July/August:  Butterflies continue to delight our visitors throughout the summer and each Wednesday, June through July from 12-1 pm, bring the kids for Wacky Wednesday.  Participate in a fun craft and enjoy our kid friendly attractions.

Sept/Oct:  The Purdy Butterfly House winds down by the end of September, but our Scarecrow Trail runs through October 31.  Wild, wacky, weird and wonderful, the scarecrows and a weekend hayride provide great fall fun.

Nov/Dec:  Experience the magic of the holidays with a drive through our 2 mile Galaxy of Lights - our annual light display featuring over 150 hand-crafted displays.
