Spring Plant Sale

Members sale: April 14, 10 am-6 pm
Public Sale: April 15 & 16, 9 am-6 pm; April 17. 12-5 pm


The Garden Guild’s Spring Plant Sale, the largest plant sale in North Alabama, offers annuals by the flat or pack; ferns, geraniums, a huge selection of herbs, cherished heirloom plants, houseplants, orchids, perennials, old-fashioned roses, vegetable plants, water plants, wildflowers, shrubs, vines, and trees, including fruit and berry trees! All varieties have been specially selected to thrive in North Alabama.

Knowledgeable volunteers offer their expertise on plant selection and cultivation. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own wagons for easier transporting.

     9:30 am: Carolyn Gandy, Using Landscape Plantings to Create Beautiful Arrangements
     10:30 am: Susan Webb, Creating a First Landscape and Altering a Landscape
     11:30 am: Herb Lewis, “Show and Tell” Birdfeeders and Birdhouses
     1:00 pm: Peggy Hill, Hot Plants: The Rest of the Story
     2:00 pm: Harvey Cotten, Native Plants in the Landscape
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES FOR LIL’ GARDENERS
     includes make and take projects called Painted Rock Gardens, Recycled Seed Starters and
        Botanical Clay Ornaments.

     Brain Freeze Mobile, Nanny’s Old Fashioned Lemonade, Pig Time BBQ, Flat Top Burgers.

     10:30 am: Soozie Pline and Amanda Maples, Attracting Pollinators to Your Garden
     11:30 am: Chef Chris McDonald of The Bottle, Cooking with Herbs
     1:00 pm: Peggy Hill, Hot Plants: The Rest of the Story
     2:00 pm: Susan Webb, Renovating Your Home Landscape
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES FOR LIL’ GARDENERS
    includes make and take projects
    9-6: The Learning Barn, an experience that teaches about each animal as children pet them.
