Giant Garden, Little Me, Great Big Things for Me to See
Saturday March 23, 2013 - Tuesday December 31, 2013:
Throughout the Garden
Opening March 23, 2013
The Garden likes to do things BIG, so obviously, the 25th anniversary celebration has to be BIG...REALLY BIG! And, that’s exactly what “Giant Garden, Little Me, Great Big Things for Me to See” is.
Taking a cue from the movie “Honey I Shrunk the Kids,” we have
super-sized fun things you might see in your own back yard, designed by
Carol Lambdin, Landscape Architect. Here’s a sample of the exciting
displays you will see:
- Super Soaker Sprinkler that oscillates
- Big Dog Doghouse
- Papa Bear Picnic Table
- Grand Watering Can
- Ginormous Grass Blades with misting and bubbling dandelions
- Colossal Croquet, with mega-sized wickets, balls and mallets
- Super-sized Sandbox and Storybook Castle
- Awesome Adirondack chairs big enough for two, or three ...
- King-size Checkers
“The 25th anniversary is a time for reflecting with great pride on
all that has been accomplished and the spirit in which it has happened,”
said Paula Steigerwald, CEO of the Garden. “The Giant Garden is a
celebration for all ages intended to actively engage us as we enjoy the
great outdoors and each others' company.”
With all of these oversized, interactive displays throughout the Garden there will be many “Great Big Things for YOU to see."
