Membership

Huntsville Botanical Garden, a valuable community resource for education, recreation and entertainment, is open to the public year-round and is enjoyed by more than 350,000 visitors annually. As a non-profit institution, we depend on the support of our community, visitors, volunteers and especially our members. From seasonal festivals to workshops and classes, we strive to give members countless reasons to return again and again.

Please note: Memberships are good for 12 months from the date membership purchase is made. 

Membership Options

Seniors (age 55+) as well as active or retired military personnel may receive a $5.00 discount on the membership level of their choice. Only one discount per membership, please.

All membership levels are fully tax deductible except for Fellow, Patron and Ambassador from which $32 must be subtracted from total for Fine Gardening magazine’s fair market value.

STUDENT    $30
All membership benefits for one adult. Student ID must be presented for new or renewing membership at the admissions desk.

INDIVIDUAL    $45
All membership benefits for one adult

FAMILY    $85
All membership benefits for two adults in the same household and their children under age eighteen

GRANDPARENT    $85
All membership benefits for two adults in the same household and their grandchildren under age eighteen

MEMBERSHIP PLUS ONE    $115
All membership benefits for three adults in the same household and their children or grandchildren under the age eighteen

GARDEN AFFILIATE    $125
All membership benefits plus
•    Total of 4 individual one-time passes
•    Recognition in the newsletter

GARDEN FRIEND    $175
All the above benefits plus:
•    Total of 8 individual one-time passes
•    Private guided tour by appointment

GARDEN FELLOW    $250
All the above benefits plus:
•    Total of 12 individual one-time passes
•    Subscription to Fine Gardening magazine

GARDEN PATRON    $500
All the above benefits plus:
•    Total of 2 annual guess passes
•    One free on-site consultation service for home gardening (maximum of 2 hours) with Niki Sothers

GARDEN AMBASSADOR    $1000
All the above benefits plus:
•    Total of 4 annual guess passes
•    Membership in the L’Espalier Society (major donor group)

Membership and Volunteer Orientation

LUNCH AND LEARN
The Orientation is designed to help you learn about:

  • Membership benefits for new and existing members
  • Volunteering at the Garden
  • The past, present and future of the Garden
  • The many things to do at the Garden!

Attend one of the upcoming sessions to learn more about membership benefits and volunteer opportunities and to take a docent-led tour through the Garden. All members are welcome.

Optional Guided Garden Tour: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm

Bring your lunch or you can reserve a box lunch for $6 from the Garden of Eat’n.  Box Lunch Reservations requested by Monday, May 2, 2016. Reservations for lunches or the Orientation to rwaldrop@hsvbg.org or 256-830-4447 ext. 229.
