Even with all of the positive and creative efforts during 2011, the Garden is facing a revenue shortfall due to three major things:
- The impact from the April tornadoes - both from donor levels and lost revenue from the week closed during peak season and other weather-related damages.
- The current economic environment has made us all wary of the future, and has negatively affected sponsoships and donations.
- The unseasonable hot weather has discouraged visitation, and has decreased admissions and gift shop revenue.
We are asking for your help in this unprecedented time of need for your Garden. If most of our member households participated in even a small way, we could end the year on a positive note and continue to maintain our debt-free status.
